Valentine's day at One Girl Cookies

Yesterday was Valentine's day... Actually it was 2 days ago but I just got back to Japan so I feel like it was yesterday... lol
So we did some special things for Valentine's day at work.
When I decorated these cookies, I wanted to do something fun so there is one "..."  lol
Can you find it? haha
Also I did some Valentine's decoration for cakes... simple though.
We had more special cakes, cookies, s'mores, pink meringues and so on.
I should've taken pictures but it was too busy...:(
But it was so much fun to make cute stuffs:)
I'm sorry to be late but I hope everyone had a happy Valentine's day:)

Broken English

Near to One Girl Cookies, there is Italian restaurant named "Broken English".
I had checked the menu many times but I hadn't tried there yet.
But on Tuesday my friend Sachiko came to Bergen st station for her delivery cupcake topper.
So we tried there for the first time.

There were many attractive menus but we weren't that much hungry so we shared some appetizers.
Fresh ricotta tarte had honey on top so a bit too sweet for me but it was good with wine.
And salad, the dressing was nice:)
It's good to have nice cozy restaurant in neighborhood:)

And Sachiko gave me one of her daughter!!! Soooo cute!!!

Book store

I really like to go to book stores.
And last time I went to book store in neighborhood I found interesting display.

It was like jenga... lol

At the same place I found this book too!!

It was from Japan but inside wasn't Japanese... And I found price was with "yen"!! lol

Many kinds of orders...

We get many kinds of orders everyday.
And last weekend our head chef was making this cake ordered from Korean customer!!!

And regular orders that I made these days...

For super ball yesterday... 

Be careful!!!

Yesterday it was really nice weather. So a lot of snow was melted.
And I found puddles were so beautiful with sunlight!!!

But this morning when I left home in front of my apt I slipped completely and fell down. Because all of puddles were frozen!! 

Beautiful things may hurt you sometimes!!! lol Be careful everyone!! Tomorrow will be snow and -10℃ again!!!

I still have dull pain everywhere like muscle ache... but no bruise!!!

Surprise from Blue Note

A few days ago I found Blue Note was giving 2 seats for every show of Yellowjackets.

So I just applied without any expectation.
But yesterday around 4:30, they sent me email and they said I got those seats for 8pm show!!!
I was so surprised but just changed the cloth and I supposed to go to dinner with my friend so we went there together.
Yellowjackets was the jazz band who has been playing together for 30 years!!
Their music was like everyone played different things individually but those sounds got all together and made amazing music!!!

V.I.P even I didn't pay for seats... lol

I wanted to have something very American that day!!

And Sapporo beer is not mine...lol

Sooo big!!

His drums were amazing!!!! 

Interesting instrument... 

It was fun night!!

Winter in Manhattan

These days we always have snow in NY.
And in Manhattan there are less snow than in Brooklyn but still there were snow.
And the loads are dirty with melted snow also...
I don't know when I can stop wearing my rain shoes....
And also I found big advertisement of CHINA in the middle of Times Square.
Where is advertisement of Japan??? lol
