But what I really thought when I was sick was I was lucky to be Japanese.
Because I could have many things that I could choose to eat.
First when I was most sick, I made just rice porridge(congee).
And after that when I felt like to eat something more, then I had rice porridge again but with vegetable miso soup.
Then when I feel much better and I started to want some meat but still I wanted to eat just Japanese food I had beef and egg rice bowl which is "Tanin-don= non-relative's bowl"(because beef and egg are not related).
And when I got really well, I could eat fresh vegetables so I made some shabu shabu noodle salad.
When I had felt sick, I couldn't think to eat something non-Japanese things.
I heard that American moms make chicken soup for kids when they are sick but I didn't feel like to eat chicken soup at that time.... it means I am still so Japanese and I like that...:)
