Apple store

Last weekend my laptop has been broken.
When I powered on, it didn't start many times. So I took my laptop to Apple store Soho first after work.
It means I arrived there around 5pm. But I didn't make appointment before go there. And on that day they were busy and all booked. But they suggested me to go fifth avenue store because they are open 24 hours and they had space for me from 6pm. So I took subway and went there and I could show my laptop 1 hour later I arrived Soho store.
It made me surprised a lot. Because when I had problem in Japan, I went to Apple store Shinsaibashi and I didn't have appointment so I needed to go there 4 days after that. And it took me to go there for 2 hours... Because we only have 7 Apple store in Japan. And here in NY, in only manhattan, there are 4 stores.... lol

When staff checked my laptop, he told me my hard drive had been crushed!! It meant that I lost every data inside it.... It shocked me a lot. My head was blank and my brain stopped working. Because I had more than 7000 pictures which I took in NY for more than one year were all in there. I didn't think about my music because I have CDs in Japan but pictures, if I lost them I would lose them forever!!
So I thought with my empty head and I just shook it and powered on once again... and .... it worked!!!!
Still staff told me there is no signal for hard drive but it worked!! Miracle had been happened!!
So I copied pictures into my hard disc and save them!! And I gave it them to fix....
And only 2 days later they called me and already my laptop was fixed.
I went there on Friday and they called me on Sunday....
What a quick work they did!!
So I picked up last night and now I could have my laptop with brand new hard drive.
It's like I got new laptop:) I lost a few thousands of music but still I'm happy for my new one.
Because everything was upgraded!!!

My image of Apple store was not good in Japan but now I knew why they are so popular in U.S.A.
And I knew how much I need my laptop .... it surprised me but it's good to know.
Also I learned that how much important to take backup!!
