And after the comedy show we went to eat ramen noodle to KAMBI.
http://www.newyorkramen.com/
When I go to ramen shop in NY I always thing they are fancier than in Japan.
This Kambi was also clean and neat place with weird pictures.
There were many choices in the menu for example, you can choose not only soup from miso, shoyu, tonkotsu but also you can choose the thickness of noodle from thick, thin and curly.
I got special noodle which has many vegetable on top with basic soup which was tonkotsu (pork bone broth) and thin noodle. This tonkotsu soup wasn't heavy like Kyushu ramen and it was not greasy and it was really light but flavorful. And there was a lot of vegetable on top and I loved it. When my family make ramen noodle at home we always put a lots of stir fry of vegetable and it was like that.
I was so surprised that their ramen was so good. Usually ramen noodle in NY has weird noodle which is like rubber but here wasn't like that.
The portion was definitely American size but it was enough good to finish it!!!
And also what was good for me is they served free hot tea after the meal.
Which is normal in Japan but here in NY it is rare. And drinking tea after dinner is my favorite moment.
So I enjoyed it a lot. And I had two cups of tea after that big ramen noodle!!! lol
And plus that it was really good to have good ramen noodle with fun talking.
It was really nice seeing you again and catching up, Jon and Helen!!
Thank you so much for joining me to your night:)
