Train sushi in Japan... 回転寿司

Now I'm in Japan for interview for my changing visa.
And tonight I went to Train Sushi restaurant in neighborhood.
We have good sushi in NY but still if it's good, it's expensive and cheap sushi is bad:(
But here in Japan, if you pay $20 we can eat enough good sushi!! And there is no tip. That is big for me too. This train sushi restaurant is casual but they have fresh sushi. So if you don't need fancy one, this is good place to go. (There are some cheaper train sushi place also so depends on what you need, you can choose.)

There are several colored plates and depends on the color the price is different.

And plates are running on the belt.
So when you find something you want to eat, just take a plate by yourself.

Squid natto

Shiso squid

Tai (sea bream) with yuzu salt

Samma(Pacific saury)

Anago (garden eel)

Scalop

Ikura (Salmon egg)

And when you finish, they will count your plates and give you a check.
These were for 2 people, not only for myself!! lol

And every table has hot water supplier so you can make own hot green tea:)
This is my favorite part... lol

KAMBI

And after the comedy show we went to eat ramen noodle to KAMBI.
http://www.newyorkramen.com/
When I go to ramen shop in NY I always thing they are fancier than in Japan.
This Kambi was also clean and neat place with weird pictures.
There were many choices in the menu for example, you can choose not only soup from miso, shoyu, tonkotsu but also you can choose the thickness of noodle from thick, thin and curly.
I got special noodle which has many vegetable on top with basic soup which was tonkotsu (pork bone broth) and thin noodle. This tonkotsu soup wasn't heavy like Kyushu ramen and it was not greasy and it was really light but flavorful. And there was a lot of vegetable on top and I loved it. When my family make ramen noodle at home we always put a lots of stir fry of vegetable and it was like that.
I was so surprised that their ramen was so good. Usually ramen noodle in NY has weird noodle which is like rubber but here wasn't like that.
The portion was definitely American size but it was enough good to finish it!!!
And also what was good for me is they served free hot tea after the meal.
Which is normal in Japan but here in NY it is rare. And drinking tea after dinner is my favorite moment.
So I enjoyed it a lot. And I had two cups of tea after that big ramen noodle!!! lol
And plus that it was really good to have good ramen noodle with fun talking.
It was really nice seeing you again and catching up, Jon and Helen!!
Thank you so much for joining me to your night:)

Thank you for Bjoern-san and Tama-san for this amazing lunch!!
And thank you for join me Chisato-san and Natsu-san!!!
I love to talk with you about food and everything!!
It was delicious, fun and happy time!!!

The bread was just came out from fireplace...!!!

Gazpacho was made with yellow tomato.
They served plate with fresh vegetables and pored the soup in front of us!!! Beautiful!!!

This salad was so fresh and all of vegetables had own flavors.
And vinaigrette was not too strong and not too weak... perfect!!

This ravioli was so rich!! But that much butter didn't make me feel too heavy. Lemon and rosemary flavor was really nice:)

This eggplant wasn't just a vegetable... lol
Inside was so rich and outside was crispy.

This strawberry sorbet was amazing!!! It was very berry strawberry and it was like eating strawberry!! But the texture was soft but it doesn't mean melted... Soooo good!!

This panna cotta had a lot of vanilla beans and so rich.

ごちそうさまでした!!
