This morning I woke up 5:30 and went to Dominique Ansel Bakery.

Why I needed to wake up that early, because I wanted to get Cronuts.

First I saw that they started to sell them I just wanted to try. But that moment I couldn't go there.
Then when I visited there several times, always cronuts were sold out.
That's why if we want to try them we needed to be there early in the morning and wait on the long line!!! I knew that Japanese people love to wait on the line to get something popular but I didn't know also New Yorkers like to do that!! lol
I arrived there at 7am it was not bad for me because I'm used to waking up early to go to work.
And got some coffee and waited on line with my friend chatting.
Because of her one hour past so quick but most of them just reading books, newspapers, or playing games.
And at 8, Chef Domique by himself opened the door and started to let us in a little by little.
And for everyone who waited, they served mini madeleines for tasting.
Even after I got one, chef Dominique asked me to make sure if I got one... :)
They care customers so much and they didn't make us feel tired to wait for long time. That is nice hospitality!!
Then we got them finally and enjoyed...
The cronut by itself was soft and creamy, it was really NICE flavor like comfort food.
(For me, the glaze was too sweet so I loved to eat bottom part with filling!! That was the best!!)
I was not the person who wait on the line to do something but after that I still had whole morning and could enjoy walking around and shopping in SOHO. And I really liked it:)
Thank you, Chisato-san for sharing this experience with me:)
This is the line at 7am
Some people had chairs with them
Almost!!
Chef Dominique
Even they limited people to get inside, it's packed!!
baking madeleines
Boxing cronuts
CRONUTS!!!
The box was cute too!!
These are the cornets!!
Look my happy face!!
When you cut, filling just come out when you bite, you need to be careful!!!
Early in the morning in SOHO, many people are walking dogs before they go to work.
And every dogs were waiting for owners to get coffee in front of the cafe...
So cute!!
