Swan Lake at Lincoln Center NYC

The other day my friend took me to Lincoln Center to see Swan Lake by American Ballet Theatre.
http://www.abt.org
I didn't expect it and I didn't know much about ballet but it was really beautiful and so much fun.
The sounds of ballerinas' toes were so interesting.
And that reminded me the movie Black Swan and that made me more interested in this show.
Also it was interesting to see the audiences. I wish I did dress up more that night but it was after work... so next time!! Haha
Thank you so much, Akiko for taking me there!!!! :)

this is when everyone was leaving the venue. it was fun to see from the above... lol

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Today was my off but I had no plan but outside was so nice weather and I thought I should do something!!
So I decided to have some sightseeing in NYC!!!
And first thing I'd been wanted to do is "going to Metropolitan Museum!!"
So I just did it!!
I've been there when I visited NYC more than 3 years ago and at that time I didn't have enough time to look around so I just did quick look as most of tourists do.
But this time, only thing I need to do today was just enjoy this museum!!

So what I started with was hotdog in front of the museum like Albert from movie "HITCH"...lol

I saw them in the subway several times. They can sing!!

I took the same picture 3 years ago. But it was cherry blossom season so the Central Park was all pink!!
Nothing changed but now it's green:)

I like the light from this ceiling.

Some of pictures that I like.

And the sky was just so beautiful!!

Gorgeous weather!!

And amazing view from the rooftop of museum.

This is the ceiling that I like from outside!!

So many people are coming inside and going outside!!

This was the work of new Japanese artist.

Most of Japanese works were really old but not this one!!

And here was my favorite place...
Just there was sound of water floating.
This sound of water is so important for Japanese culture I think.
But I noticed it today when I came here in front of this work.
This sounds make me so comfortable and calm.
I used to hear this sounds a lot in Japan but after I moved here I don't think there is no sounds like this around me. It was really interesting fact that I found!!!

Thank you, Isamu Noguchi for making this work!!!

And I found many i Pad in museum...
Interesting!!

You can see this by yourself with i Pad.

And these clouds were like paint!!

I took the picture from here 3 years ago too.
Did I get aged?? lol

What a interesting day it became. I'm glad that I revisited here.
Many things are changed and many things are the same!!!
Life is so interesting!!

The Gowanus Art Fair in Brooklyn

Last night I had a chance to go to The Gowanus Art Fair close to my home.
http://www.thecollectivebk.blogspot.com/
I knew this event because a friend of mine who is studying acting in NY and he had play on the stage that night.
There were acting, photography, music, magic and many other arts.
What I like in NY is there are many events really artistic. And they welcome everyone even who is not artists or who doesn't know about art like me.
My friend Luca was on stage and he wasn't who I knew last night.
This was the first time to see him acting. Before he explained how he was working for getting different characters. And I imagined what he said and I thought I understood but I didn't. I like to see movies and I saw many characters and also I saw one person became many different characters in different movies but I didn't know them as a person. So it was different experience for me. Watching someone I know on the stage as different person... It was really interesting... And congrats for your stage, Luca!! That was awesome:)
Also I didn't know that venue even it was only one stop by subway from my home.
Gowanus Ballroom

I hadn't be there at night so I was surprised to see the view around there was quite awesome!!
I don't want to walk around there by myself if there is no event but because of that event there were many people so I felt safer than usual. And I left there early so everyone came there around that time. I'm so curious about what happened after I left. But still I enjoyed it enough:)
