The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Today was my off but I had no plan but outside was so nice weather and I thought I should do something!!
So I decided to have some sightseeing in NYC!!!
And first thing I'd been wanted to do is "going to Metropolitan Museum!!"
So I just did it!!
I've been there when I visited NYC more than 3 years ago and at that time I didn't have enough time to look around so I just did quick look as most of tourists do.
But this time, only thing I need to do today was just enjoy this museum!!

So what I started with was hotdog in front of the museum like Albert from movie "HITCH"...lol

I saw them in the subway several times. They can sing!!

I took the same picture 3 years ago. But it was cherry blossom season so the Central Park was all pink!!

Nothing changed but now it's green:)

So many people are coming inside and going outside!!

This was the work of new Japanese artist.

Most of Japanese works were really old but not this one!!

And here was my favorite place... 

Just there was sound of water floating.

This sound of water is so important for Japanese culture I think.

But I noticed it today when I came here in front of this work.

This sounds make me so comfortable and calm. 

I used to hear this sounds a lot in Japan but after I moved here I don't think there is no sounds like this around me. It was really interesting fact that I found!!!

What a interesting day it became. I'm glad that I revisited here. 

Many things are changed and many things are the same!!! 

Life is so interesting!! 

eat pray love

Last year every women were reading this book I think... But I didn't.
And today I didn't have any plan for my day off so I went to see this movie "eat pray love".

The scenes were so beautiful and if I could have money I wanted to do the same actually:)
And the funny things are when I saw this movie before I came here in NY, I think I couldn't understand this movie like now. Because I met many people here from many country, also I saw how people is living here and I've been comparing Japan and other country all the time. That's why this movie was so much fun for me.
And I did kind of same thing just one year ago that I jumped out from Japan and I came here. And I haven't get the answer but I learned many things and I've understood myself more than before. But still I'm in the middle of this searching though.

After movie I went to my favorite book store House Works Bookstore in Soho http://www.housingworks.org/social-enterprise/bookstore-cafe/
and got the used book. I will read this and compare how different the movie is from the original book and also I will think about this story once again.

I've heard that now Julia Roberts is in Japan and her visiting Japan is for the first time. I'm so sure that this movie is focused in Japan now so please try when you have chance!!

去年には地下鉄の中では女性みんながみんなこの本を読んでいましたが、私はまだ手に取っていませんでした。しかし今日仕事が休みにも関わらず何も予定がなかったため、近くの映画館に見に行ってきました。
映像がとてもきれいで、もしお金があるならば私もこんな旅が出来たらなと思いながら見ていました。そして、面白いことに、おそらくこちらに来る前にこの映画を見ていたら、今のようにこの映画を理解することも感じることも出来なかったのではないかと思いました。
こちらに来て、いろんな国から来たたくさんの人に出会い、そしてニューヨークに暮らす人々を見て来て、そしていつも日本と比較し続けて来たおかげで、より楽しめた気がします。
また私も１年間の３カ国の旅とまでは行きませんがたった１年前に日本を飛び出しこちらに来て…と少し似たようなことをしたのかもしれません。まだ答えが見つかったとか、将来が見えたなんてかっこいいことは残念ながら言えませんが、こちらで様々なことを学び、前よりは自分のことも理解できるようになりました。とは言え、まだまだインドにもたどり着いていないような旅の真っ最中ですが…。

映画の後にはSOHOにあるお気に入りの本屋さんHouse works bookstore　http://www.housingworks.org/social-enterprise/bookstore-cafe/へ行き原作の古本も手に入れてきました。映画と原作がどう違うのかを比較しつつ、もう一度、この本をじっくり味わってみたいと思います。

今、ちょうどジュリアロバーツが初来日中とか…。きっと盛り上がっていることと思います。ぜひ機会があれば見に行ってみてはいかがでしょうか？

Sky

These days I'm into taking pictures of sky.
Everyday every moment they have different faces and it is really interesting to compare each of them.
In the morning when I walk to work, after work when I go back home, when I had good day, bad day whenever I look up the sky and think many things....

最近、空の写真を撮ることが多いです。

いつ見ても毎回違った表情を持っている空。

朝眠たいな〜と仕事に歩いて行くとき、疲れて仕事から帰ってくるとき、いいことがあったとき、悪いことがあったとき、いつも空を見てはいろいろと考えている今日この頃です。

That's why I love NY!!

10 months has past.

I came to NY last August. Already 10 months has past... Time flies...
First I only came here for cooking school and I had no idea how to stay here and get a job. But I wanted so much and I worked so hard to hunt a job and now I could... Life is interesting. Who knows what happens next to us?
I have no idea what's gonna be happen to me in one year... :) But that's why life is so interesting!!
What is your dream?
ニューヨークに来たのは昨年の８月、すでに１０ヶ月が経ちました。時間が経つのはほんとに早い。
最初は料理学校が目的で渡米し、その後どのようにアメリカに残るのか、仕事を得るのかなんかは、さっぱりわからなかったのですが、がんばればなんとかなるもの、現在はお菓子屋さんで働けるようになりました。何がおこるかわからない。人生って面白いですね。
１年後どうなっているのか…わからないからこそ面白い！！

I'm gonna start blog for the first time in my life....

Why I decided to start blog... because now I'm in NY and I'm having many good interesting experiences and I wanted to share these things not only for my friends.

And also I met many amazing people here and they are all sharing there life with everyone. I thought it's gonna be wonderful if I could share my thoughts and experiences with other people.

今日、2010年6月13日、人生初めてブログを初めて見ようと思います。

なぜブログ開始を決心したかというと、現在私はニューヨークで生活をしており、様々な面白い経験をしており、これを友達ではなく他の方々とも共有してみたかったからです。
