Dance Event

Last night I went to East River Park to see contemporary ballet.

When I was in Japan I liked "So you think you can dance http://www.fox.com/dance/ a lot and I can't dance but I loved to see dance!!
But this was the first time to see real contemporary ballet from this close.... and it was amazing!!
Especially Wideman/Davis Dance was so much fun. But only thing that I couldn't understand was their costume.... the guys were wearing white short pants and it looked like diaper!! lol
Venue was great, the weather was a bit too chilly but dance was beautiful and fun.... it was so nice Saturday evening....

昨晩イーストリバーパークまでコンテンポラリーバレーを見に行ってきました。
日本にいたときは”ダンスアイドル”にはまってよく見ていましたが、実際に生でコンテンポラリーダンスをこんな近くで見るのは初めてでした。そして、これが…楽しすぎる！！
特に後半に出て来たwideman/Davis Danceというグループはとても美しく、迫力がありとても楽しめました。ただ一つ理解に苦しんだのが…男性の衣装。真っ白のショートパンツだったのですが、どうみても「おむつ」…私だけなんでしょうか、そう見えたのは…。。。
気温が低く外で見ているのが寒かったのをのぞけば、公園のステージも最高、ダンスも楽しく、美しく、とてもよい土曜の夜となりました。
