Martha Stewart American Made at Grand Central Station

Last week there was an event at Grand Central Station.
And we had an opportunity to show how to decorate wedding cake on the stage with 3 other pastry chefs.
From One Girl Cookies, Dawn and I went there. Also there were sugar flower, candy and 3D cake decorating demonstration at the same stage.

I was so nervous before we started but it was really amazing experience for me to decorate in front of many people. It was very difficult to work not in the kitchen without freezer or nice working station but I could make the base cake at the kitchen. So it was better than I thought. But I usually make the butter cream flowers in advance and freeze them before I use but this time, I had to pipe flowers and transfer on the cake there so it was challenging for me with high temperature from the light. But I could make it!!! :) And it's always nice to see many other people in pastry and wedding industries!!

I made 5 tiers base cake in the kitchen and brought to Grand Central Station.

There were many people and many other vendors.

This was from Confetti Cakes.

Just before the demonstration.

She was from Sugar Flower Cake Shop.

And after the demonstration.

Dawn and I ...
