DAVIDs TEA

A few days ago my coworker told me about new tea place in Greenwich village.
DAVIDs TEA
http://www.davidstea.com/
But I didn't remember exact location but last night I just passed by that shop.
The outside wasn't look like tea shop but Yogurt place which my coworker told me and it was like that.
The inside was so clean and so pop. There were so many kinds of interesting flavors of tea. And I liked to see their tea pots, mugs and other tools for the tea.
I tried citrus oolong. And it was very strong flavor of citrus and I couldn't tell that was oolong. But it was good.
There are many Argo tea in Manhattan these days but they are also colorful and pop inside.
Coffee places are usually more simple or natural color. What is this difference?? Very interesting.

My image of tea is more natural color. Maybe because I have more Japanese tea image??
I will look for next tea place and see how they will show us their new shop!! :)

Brooklyn Roasting Company

Today I found cute coffee place in Dumbo.
http://www.brooklynroasting.com/
It opened a few months ago. Still very new place!!
I was there for a few minutes but there are so many customers came to get their coffee.
And the all of staffs were so nice and making relaxing atmosphere.
For example, one of customer came to buy a cup of coffee but she noticed she didn't have cash when she ordered. So she told them she would go ATM and get cash and come back. But the casher told her "You can come back tomorrow if you live around here!!"
Wow!! This is like old peaceful era!!
And of course coffee was good too:) And cheap!!! lol

Serbian night

Last Tuesday night my friend who is Serbian had a party to celebrate his saint.
This was my first time to try traditional Serbian food with Serbian music....
If I was in Japan I would have no chance to know their culture.
How lucky I am!!! :)
Thank you Niko and Stef, that was wonderful meal and night!!

At the entrance everyone had one scoop of this dish when we arrived.
That is the tradition.

Many kinds of pickles.
This roasted pepper dip was amazing!!

This looks like Tofu but it's feta cheese!! lol

Many kinds of dried meat.

His saint.

It was like cheese quiche. So good.

Tomato, cucumber and feta salad.

It was like rolled cabbage.

Serbian way to drink alcohol. Their plum liquor was soooo strong!!

Baklava!!

Watermelon...

Edible Brooklyn event Good Beer

Last Tuesday I went to BAM for volunteering event of Edible Brooklyn "Good Beer".
http://www.ediblemanhattan.com/events/edible-brooklyn-edible-manhattans-good-beer/
I worked there from 4 to 7pm and enjoyed the food and beer after that:)
Actually there weren't many things to do. I just helped some venders to set up the stations. And after that was just standing at the exit to avoid people who has no ticket sneak in the venue.
I am not big fun of beer so I could try a few kinds of them but if you like beer, that would be amazing chance to try so many kinds of beer from everywhere around NY.
Also there were many restaurants came to introduce their food too. Even pizza truck and kimchi taco truck were there... I prefer the food when we had wine event at BAM but still I enjoyed a lot.

But what I couldn't believe was that the night before the event I charged my battery of camera for that night. And when I tried to take a picture, camera didn't work.... I forgot to put my battery back in the camera!!!! So I couldn't take all the pictures I wanted... but still I had phone so I took some of them... so the quality is not good...:( I hope you can get some of image from them... :)

Blue Bottle Coffee

This is the coffee cafe in Williamsburg.
Blue Bottle Coffee
http://www.bluebottlecoffee.net/
Both outside and inside are very simple but I really liked this place.
And I could get good idea for the pastries. Because they had some baked goods there but all of them were in small muffin layers. I think I can make buckle like that then easy to bring to someone and also I don't need to eat a lot... :)
Then main thing in there is COFFEE!! And they had many things from Japan... really interesting.
And they serve KYOTO coffee which is brewed with Japanese tool? I should've asked them why this name!!! But really it was like all of coffee tools were imported from Japan... even pot of Noda horo Tsukiusagi-jirushi!! http://www.nodahoro.com/

It was amazing time with good coffee and fun talk with Chisato-san:)
Thank you for taking me there!!!

This is Tsukiusagi-jirushi!!!
