July 7th was Tanabata in Japan.

Today we were making big star cookies with red icing. And I thought it was order from someone Japanese for Tanabata party!! But it was order from Macy's... lol
And I was talking with chef about Tanabata festival in Japan and she told me she didn't know about it and they didn't have same kind of day....
And I noticed Tanabata is really romantic festival and I felt I was lucky to be Japanese!!
What did you wish for stars this year?
We couldn't get bamboo tree....:( But I made a wish!!
七夕です。今日職場で大きな☆のクッキーをたくさん焼いて、赤いアイシングで飾り付けていました。これは日本人の誰かが七夕パーティーのためにオーダーしたのかなとか考えながら。しかし、それは、Macy'sからのオーダーでした…。あはは。
そして七夕の説明をシェフにしていたところ、そんな日はアメリカには無いらしく、そんなロマンチックな日がある日本って素敵！！って思ってしまいました。
今年は何を短冊に願いましたか？
竹は見つからなかったけれど、心の中で願い事はしてみました☆
