Did you see this movie? These days I see a lots of Japanese dogs in NY especially "Shiba" but this is the story of "Akita".
In Japan there's not "Statue of liberty" but we have "Statue of HATCHI". This story is that much famous in Japan.
If you have chance to see this, and please try to see Japanese one too. It's interesting to compare "Hatchi" and "Hatchiko". :)

最近ニューヨークでよく日本犬を目にするようになりましたが、ほとんどは柴犬です。
もしかすると、この映画の影響で秋田犬も増えるかも？
日本版とアメリカ版を比べてみるのも面白いかもしれません。
