You can come back later:)

Yesterday I went to coffee place at Ace hotel. http://stumptowncoffee.com/locations/nyc-ace
I think I like there the best as a coffee place in NY at this moment. The first reason is of course "coffee is good". But the second reason is I can sit comfortable sofa in the hotel  and third reason is restroom is so beautiful... lol
But I found another reason yesterday. It's "The baristas are so nice!!"
After I ordered Americano I found I didn't have cash then (Only $2 was in my purse:(...) So I asked them that I can use debit card but I couldn't then they told me "After you had coffee, go to ATM and you can come back later!!" Wow, they are so nice... I think it won't happen in Japan. In Japan everything is strict so maybe they will ask me to go to ATM first and come back... I think this is the Japanese way.
So I had a perfect coffee on the cozy sofa and relaxed for a while and when I got energy back, I went to restroom, ATM and came back... Then they said "Welcome back!!"

昨日はエースホテルの１階にコーヒーを飲みに行って来ました。

ここはお気に入りなのですがその理由として、もちろんコーヒーがおいしいから。またホテルのソファーでゆっくりとコーヒーが飲めること。そしてお手洗いがとってもきれい！！笑

けれど昨日はもう一つの理由を見つけてしまいました。

それはバリスタさんたちがとっても感じが良い！！

昨日は注文をした後で現金を持っていないことに気づき、カードが使えるか聞きましたが、使えず…出直すか、、、と思っていたら、コーヒー飲んだ後でATMに行って戻って来てくれたらいいよ！！って笑顔で言われ、ひえー、そんなことが可能なのかしらと思いつつもお言葉に甘えることに。。。これは日本ではあり得ないと思うのですが、どうでしょうか。

日本ならば、ATMに行ってから戻って来てコーヒーを注文して下さい…となるでしょう。。きっと。

というわけで、おいしいコーヒーをゆっくりソファーに座りながら楽しみ元気を取り戻した後で、きれいなお手洗いに行き、ATMへ行って支払いに戻ったのでした。

そこで、またバリスタさん笑顔で「Welcome back!!」
